Projects

Perimeter's projects have included the New York Animation Festival, the Outer Limits Film and Video Series, the MOOV media arts festival, international cultural exchanges, and youth workshops.

New York Animation Festival

The New York Animation Festival, an international festival of independently produced animation, was presented in 1999 and 2001. Looking beyond traditional cartoons and animation for children, the Festival presented short pieces by artists and independent filmmakers, with an emphasis on international works, experimental animation, first and student films, and computer and digital animation.

Outer Limits Film and Video Series

The Outer Limits Film and Video Series was co-presented with New York's Video Lounge and organized cooperatively with other festivals, curators, media arts groups in New York and throughout the world in 2000 and 2001. Programming focused on short film and video independently produced outside of New York and on the geographical and cultural edges (the figurative "outer limits").

MOOV Media Arts Festival

MOOV, a multimedia festival presenting artists videos, installations, and performances organized collaboratively with artists, artists groups, programmers, and curators in other countries, and presented in 2002 and 2003.

International Exchanges

Perimeter Media has participated in international cultural exchanges and presented programs in collaboration with film and video festivals, media arts centers, and artists groups in more than 20 countries.

Youth Workshops

Perimeter Media's youth workshops have included animation classes in drawing and basic animation techniques with young people in Manhattan's Lower East Side neighborhood.
